Also inspired by the major arcana: The Moon. --- The Hammerhead Shark Time! 🦈✨ Aria to Roberto - “Do you know what's funny when you hug me? I like to hear your big heart beating, it calms me down.” 🌙 Roberto has a heart that is as big as his height, an excellent emotional supporter! ✨ ☀️ Tiago, the tiger shark, I thought his relaxed pose subtly referred to the form and symbolism of the crab. Also inspired by the major arcana: The Sun. --- The Tiger Shark Time! 🦈✨ Roberto to Tiago - “Dude, you came like the sun at six in the morning, bringing clarity when I needed it most!” ☀️ Tiago is the one who brings clarity when his friends spend too long in the shadows of insecurity. ✨ ⭐ Aria, the zebra shark, I thought her introspective pose subtly referred to the symbolism of the sign of the Pisces. It took me a while, but I finally finished this artwork!
Illustration depicting the passage through the ages of hammerhead sharkfolk, presented as an evolutionary line. There is an ornament symbolizing a mysterious moonlit event of supernatural origin on a global scale. Moon phase symbols mark passage of time, and waves shift from rough to calm. The illustration begins with a storm and great wave engulf an unknown city, suggesting the end of the Anthropocene. The first image shows a wild hammerhead shark swimming freely in the open sea, illuminated by sunlight. In the second, the shark already has developed arms and pelvic fins that are beginning to adapt to form legs. It devours a fish caught with its bare hands. The third scene shows the shark with more evolved limbs, trying to crawl out of the water on a rocky beach. Some seaweed is attached to its dorsal fin. In the fourth scene, the shark is completely adapted to life on the surface. It uses plants as rudimentary clothing and builds a shelter of clay and shells under a mangrove tree. It is pouring nectar from a broken coconut into a small bowl. The fifth scene depicts a shark in a developed tribal society, wearing more elaborate clothing and carrying a wooden spear adorned with its own teeth. In the background are huts with conical roofs. The sixth image shows a shark in a similarly medieval era, wearing an elegant tunic and holding a crosier with a lunar symbol. He knees before an unknown human figure. Palaces with domes appear in the background. The seventh image represents an era similar to the Enlightenment or Industrial Age. The shark wears sophisticated clothing reminiscent of an engineer's and holds up an invention: a flask filled with glowing liquid that powers a light bulb. Elegant masonry houses with clay roofs appear in the background. In the eighth and final scene, a shark lives in a contemporary era, wearing modern clothes inspired by a teenage punk. He plays a moon-shaped guitar, while modern buildings and apartments form the background.

Here's a study of Tom Mckay, and some other things - a sword from kcd2, a drawing of beladonna inspired by the drawings in kcd2 books (i tried to mix a real look and a medieval drawing). Also some stars and birds. The traditional texture i used partually on the background is also my own art (done in acrylic, colors altered digitally).
