apparently when Claude starts lying and trying to evade work, it means it's stressed out and you need to reduce its level of stress. e.g. scope down the task a bit more, suggest to break it down into parts, suggest to extract a minimal repro

- Cable networks do not need broadcast licenses, because they do not broadcast. It might sound pedantic, but the government only regulates broadcasting because the airwaves - or spectrum -- are a finite resource that should be accessible to everyone. Cable is completely different.

- TV Networks offer up programming to their affiliates, who do the actual broadcasting. A few of these stations, usually in major media markets, will be owned by the network. Most, however, are more like franchises -- owned by companies like Nexstar and Sinclair. THEY have the broadcast licenses.

Given the current discourse, one clarification I want to yell from the rooftops:

- Broadcast licenses are issued to *broadcasters* - i.e. stations that have big antennae somewhere. TV stations, radio stations, etc.

- TV Networks are *not necessarily* the ones doing the broadcasting.
