If NATO and the EU were actually committed to the principle that "Borders must not be changed by force" they would be fighting with Ukraine to protect that principle in Ukraine and thereby the rest of the world. But that isn't what we see. Instead, it's "negotiated peace" talk.

Terribly shortsighted. Trump can refuse to sell for instance and a thousand other things he could do to us. Risking transatlantic relations is anything but safe while confronting russia.
Helpful reminder that both Kyiv and its European partners can safely ignore Trump's pushes for a bad peace deal.
Keep in mind that since this year, it is us Europeans who pay for all the aid to Ukraine. Nothing comes from the U.S since Trump became president. We even pay for the American weapons bought for Ukraine.
