I was on the ground floor of the cypherpunk movement in the 90s, witnessed the Silicon Valley libertarians first hand, and summarized it thus.
I'll see about picking up a copy of her book. Should be an interesting read.

Double taps are meant to kill first responders and reporters. Even if your (in my opinion im-) morality somehow finds bombing a hospital acceptable, killing those who are attempting to help or report on the wounded and dying is pure evil.

Spain considers maltreatment because of your sexuality or gender identity as reason for asylum. It is not perfect at all in its treatment of refugees, but it is one of the best.

Having grown up on a farm, worked with migrant workers, had family and friends who were migrant workers or sons, daughters, grandkids, etc... of them, I find this absolutely appalling. Hell, I find it absolutely appalling just on a "how we should treat human beings" level.

Perhaps the external threats that Europe now faces are enough to get movement. Especially if it drives out the internal threats to democracy.

Thank you for sending that. Her speech embodies why I want to live here. Uniting the countries to get anything done has always been problematic here. When they do unite however, they have produced the best quality of life in the world.

It's not enough to just hit the streets. To use non-violent resistance, you need to provoke a response. The best way to do this with someone like Donald Trump is to strike at his income. Fill the streets around his properties so that they can't do business. I bet he responds.
