Here’s a quick roundup of highlights from research we published in 2024, on unequal exchange, ecosocialism, and post-capitalist transformation.

As always, free PDFs are available via the link at the end of the thread. 🧵
The UN General Assembly resolution against torture was rejected by only three countries: the US, Israel, and Argentina, who remind the world that they oppose even the most basic principles of humanity.

In a sane world, the government guilty of committing genocide would be dismantled, and forced to pay reparations. Instead they are allowed to corral their victims into a concentration camp and steal their land. We live in the most obscene of all possible timelines.

This new report from the Grantham Institute is crucial. And it's quite striking to see it published... it seems to indicate people are willing to consider policy ideas long treated as taboo.

Western politicians say "Israel is defending our values" and all I can think about is images of children disembowelled by Israeli bombs, made in the USA.

Israel continues to block aid and materials into Gaza for shelters, thus purposefully denying conditions necessary for life as winter comes on. They are continuing the genocide in full view of the world.

The @theguardian.com runs with "tensions rise", to describe what is in fact unilateral US aggression against a country that poses zero threat to the US or to anyone else.

This monster also promoted the invasion of Iraq, which killed hundreds of thousands of people and created mass child malnutrition.

Yes, this is correct. And the reason is because our capitalist classes have decided that it is not sufficiently profitable, so they're not going to do it.

We must understand this reality. Capital *cannot* be relied upon to address the climate crisis.

For those on the left who are not socialists, or who do not ally with socialist parties, I don't really understand: what exactly is the project? What is the plan?

Horrifying reports have emerged that the RSF militia in has brutally massacred more than a thousand people in el-Fasher, Sudan.

The RSF is fighting against the government of Sudan and is backed by the UAE.

The US warships off Venezuela aren’t there to fight drugs
Washington’s Caribbean build-up isn’t about traffickers. It’s about projecting power and pushing regime change.

You honestly cannot make this up. The level of impunity, the total disregard for international norms, is just staggering.

New research on 42 countries around the world shows that in most cases people generally do not believe the system they live under is fair. With one exception: China.

The attempts by Western institutions to normalise Israel since the ceasefire are disgusting and absurd.

First, Israel has not stopped killing Palestinians, and by all accounts is eager to do more of it.
October 28, 2025 at 4:43 PM
What we must all remember from the Gaza genocide is that the international system is rotten to its core and needs to be completely replaced.

We cannot accept a system where Western governments and leaders can commit genocide and war crimes with total impunity.

Today is a good day to remind everyone that the US narrative claiming the President of Venezuela is a drug trafficker is 100% lies. The Trump administration knows this, the Nobel committee knows this... it is a campaign to manufacture consent for invasion. Don't fall for it.
October 17, 2025 at 7:42 AM
It is clear that with this ceasefire Western governments and media want us all to let bygones be bygones.

Never. Israel committed a genocide, we all witnessed the most obscene violence it is possible to imagine, and we need to see the perpetrators locked up in The Hague.
