Uhmmm Labour is floating the idea of scrapping jury trials expect for killers and rapists. Not sure how I feel about that. I’ve only once sat on a jury and it was for murder/manslaughter. Our jury worked very well, and it’s a tried and tested system.

Just prior to Rock Hudson’s death in 1985, Elizabeth Taylor founded amfAR, an AIDS research charity.

Taylor personally donated about as much money to combat the AIDS epidemic in 1986 as the entire U.S. government did that year.

One of the greatest showmen of all time — Freddie Mercury died as a result of AIDS on this day in 1991.

Here’s some rare snaps of Freddie in happy times.

This is just awful. A young life extinguished just like that because of cruelty. May Miles be at peace. 🕯️

Wow! Labour is freezing rail fares for a year.

Groundbreaking.

Genuinely feel sorry for people who didn’t experience the 90s.

Gutted for La Voix who’s been left with no choice but to withdraw from Strictly because of an injury. Having known her for years, there’s no doubt in my mind that she would’ve been working her fabulous arse off for the win! She did herself and our community very proud!

Don’t really watch it, but heard that Ruby Wax is on I’m a Celeb. I’ve always liked her. She was volunteering at the covid vaccination place when I got jabbed first. Younger people probably don’t know how pioneering her interview shows were before bbc ditched her for daring to be an older woman.

Nobody does it like Dolly Parton. She’s the definition of a queen.

Just after taking mammy to asdas to help her do some of her christmas food shopping. Ears are bleeding and I need a lie down in a darkroom for an hour now.

Start at the position that absolutely all politicians are cunts and work from there.

🇮🇪 Since Ireland’s new football-loving President, Catherine Connolly, took office, the national team has won all matches against fierce competition and are now hopefully on their way to the World Cup for the first time in over 20 years!

Coincidence? I think not! ☘️

Horrific news! Five young people in their 20’s killed in a car crash in Ireland. Most of our family live in Louth and Meath. Our part of ireland, as we say! Just awful. My thoughts are with the families and friends. 💚

I think whoever replaces Starmer will just be more of the same, from the same ‘sensible’ sect of the party, no bold ideas/solutions, so not much will change. These are desperate times with Reform on the march and the current Labour leadership is not rising to the challenge, at all.

Gormless bunch.
