It’s great to see programs like this creating opportunities, supporting local services and building stronger regional and urban communities across our state.
This $252 million investment is helping local councils train the next generation; giving young people skills, jobs and a future in their own communities.
More than 500 apprentices, trainees and cadets are now on the tools in councils right across NSW through the Minns Labor Government’s Fresh Start program.
We’re working with industry to lift standards, protect passengers and rebuild trust.
That’s why the Minns Labor Government is tripling the fine for taxi drivers who overcharge or refuse fares, sending a clear message that ripping off passengers won’t be tolerated.
Passengers deserve a fair fare every time. 🚕
