Failed engineer by day failed engineer by night
The sounds of linear actuators fill my ears at all times and my dreams fester and bubble and maybe someday we'll become something tasty.
I just want to say go birds

Damn I really wanted that promotion. Honestly if I wasn't applying for the promotion she would be my first choice too but it really sucks to be second string. Why'd literally the only person I view as competition also have to apply for it? Guess I just have a dead end job after all

The Dyson vacuum I accidentally bought arrived today. I'm noticing a pattern when it comes to popular brands people hate. They're always actually really good. I've loved my Dyson supersonic hair dryer for years and this vacuum is amazing. Just like my Mac mini is an awesome computer

My God the algorithm on this app is the most vile toxic scum algorithm I've ever seen and I'm including TikTok and Twitter. I know I shouldn't use the discover page but I just get so curious. And it almost never shows me anything I actually want to see. I just keep blocking accounts.

Yep I did just wake up from a dream where I was being fucked by a robot femboy. I don't know what to make of this this has never happened before

It's so weird to me that Patrick rothfuss and George r r Martin are still alive. My favorite author was much much younger than them and she died without finishing her life's work.
If you ever get a chance to read a pattern of shadow in light by Melissa McPhail it's amazing

It's zero dark 30 and I'm thinking about all of my childhood trauma. I ghosted my new therapist today. Just felt like a waste of time to even try therapy again. That clinical bullshit just doesn't work I don't know that anything does. Is there any point in talking about it?

Well no more soldering after 9:00 p.m. because apparently I am incapable of being smart when I'm sleepy
January 29, 2026 at 4:58 PM
There's no way I just woke up from a good night's rest and found out that I left my soldering iron on all night long. That could never happen right?

More than a decade ago there were people sounding the alarm. More than a decade ago there were a small number of us who were terrified of generative AI. Exactly what's happening now was the nightmare scenario but nobody wanted to listen. Said it was impossible.

I told you so really doesn't feel good
Matchmaking ruined online gaming. I know because I was there. I remember a time when we all played on community-owned dedicated servers and there was actual moderation and community building. I don't care if nobody wants to admit it or can even see it

Pays for FedEx next day air on Sunday it's now Thursday and my package hasn't arrived.

The temptation to buy e-waste never goes away. I would like a resin printer even if it's a really old shitty one. Could be useful. But everything at REPC is always overpriced.

This was supposed to be the year of building community instead of being online. The last month is made that really challenging.

they might start with guns(which is already a practically nonexistent issue) but they will keep violating of civil liberties until we own nothing and die alone in our wagecages.
#seattle #washington seen the latest authoritarian news? They want spyware in your slicers and your hardware so they can control and monitor what you print. lathes and cnc too. Even though nobody's violating laws already on the books about #3Dprinting guns.

we cannot allow HB 2321 to pass. this isn't about public safety it's about the wa government seizing the means of production from the people. it might start with guns but how long until it's patents and copyrights? that body panel clip for your car? vchipped. ltt screwdriver? $100 to the canuck bub!

Also when it comes to 3D printing it's cheaper to just buy a bento box from @voxelpla.bsky.social then to just build one yourself. Seriously sourcing the fans costs as much as buying it pre-built.

3D printing is a really expensive hobby. It seems so cheap on the surface. You buy a reality k1 and a few upgrades and then you start having fun except then you realize there's ice all over your car so you want to print rather than buy an ice scraper but it's going to cost you more to print that

Damn living in Seattle has had some setbacks. I'm so happy I don't have to have roommates anymore. Do you know how good homemade cheeseburgers are? I forgot how good home cooking is. I spent the last 2 years avoiding leaving my bedroom at all costs.
