#mlb thing: Digitizing old family videotapes, and one includes a 3-1 win by the Houston Astros over the New York Mets (in the Astrodome). Video is undated, so I tracked down the game using Baseball Almanac. It's the right game (box scores match), but methinks the during-game listed attendance lied.

I’m not sure we can draw many conclusions about outside events from the names of bands, but “Holy Fuck” does seem particularly suited to the times.
