Crumbs it's three months since I posted anything on here. I've been too busy writing, or thinking about writing or thinking about thinking about writing. And then I went on a writing retreat. Which meant I retreated from writing altogether and went canoeing and bird watching.

I often find I'm awake for an hour or so in the wee small hours. Drifting in that liminal space between waking and dreaming, I go to the new story world I'm creating. It's full of shadows and shifting vistas... and then I find myself counting up all the duvet sets I have ever bought.
