I just have a shit-ton of previously published short stories I need to do something with...
Even there it doesn't make sense. Santos has been recorded several times saying negative things about Trump, but I honestly think the orange goon has either forgotten or isn't aware. Which is worse? We'll let others decide.

Commuting George Santos' sentence does nothing for Trump to endear him to New Yorkers, which reportedly he weirdly cares about endearing himself to.

Like, we (NYers) hate him in large part, and we hate George Santos too. Both are grifters.

Waste of time for a weird L. #georgesantos

It was definitely a mistake for Xbox to put its branding on a $1K handheld when the 3-year-old Steam Deck is a perfectly viable option that plays almost all of the same exact games at less than half the price.

They Series X'd when they should've Series S'd.
Okay, I get why people like Zach Justice, but that gimmick will wear out quick.

This is not the first time I've seen a charismatic 5 with the rizz of a 10 bag 6s, 7s, and 8s. But that doesn't last long.
Possibly Sapphic Urban Romantasy.
There will come a day when our children and grandchildren will stop us and ask "what did you do when this happened? What did you think?"

And for people that cheerled or ignored an attempted genocide, they are going to live much like those who stood by segregation.
Sometimes it feels like the only way to be a successful male author is to be an out loud asshole about how awesome and braggadocious I'm supposed to be (?), but I'd rather be working on my craft and finding readers who care about the stories, not how cool I am or not.

Am I just screwed?

I feel like day by day, event by event, there is a great divide between Millennials and GenX. GenZ is out on their own, but the first two were often sibling-generations. It was always there, but Israel-Gaza drove an iron wedge I don't think ever gets removed.
There is a small part of me that regrets that Pondering The Orb is on hiatus. I really loved that format for the show until I didn't, and I'm in this weird place of mourning while figuring out what it reincarnates into. It's also a weird, weird time in the digital space.
Finished a chapter I started yesterday and wow, that was an emotional dump. Stayed within the bounds of the story, but I'm glad to have gotten through it. It'll be easier to hone for the first draft once this rough is done. Halfway through.

I didn't know Sam Altman met his husband at 3AM in Peter Thiel's hot tub.

Huh.
Thank goodness it is cold out. Please stay cold, but not too wet, nor too rainy. We have a Nor'easter coming our way, so if you are out and about, find safety. It's going to be a rough few days.

The great actress Diane Keaton has left us at the age of 79. Too soon to say good-bye to the woman who made us smile at the quirky Annie Hall, and who broke our hearts in Reds. Your charm and talent will be sorely missed.
I don't know what happened, but something broke in my mind when I came around to the fact that Meta's platform is no longer a place for organic growth or community, just algorithmically created conflicts and echo chambers. No thanks.

No place is perfect, but you can decide not to stay in Hell.
