Stunningly beautiful xc ski day.

By the way how come World Cup cross country skiers never have to blow their nose? 🤷‍♂️

No surprise. The skiing is excellent today.

Most of the jobs we do to provide a future for our children exist to perpetuate a system that is on track to decimate that future.

Seems like a recipe for widespread mental health collapse.

Made my morning. #Guelph are you listening?
As both a teacher and a parent, I see every day how challenging it can be for families to figure out how to give their children real freedom in the world. Again and again, the #BikeBus shows me that it is one of the best tools we have for scaffolding independence.

Those tree hugging hippies in Hungary now lead the world in the share of electricity generated from solar with almost 25% of their electricity coming from solar in 2024.

A remarkable leap from just 7% five years ago.

"Cocaine Lawyer" Good song title.

Sure going to watch snowboarding at next year's winter Olympics.

You'd think artists, not sport personalities, would have to resort to drug peddling to get by.

Yet the solution is so easy. Canadians love Americans, it's their current political regime we can't stand.

Surely an easy fix.

I'm surprise some states aren't threatening to leave the country, much like Alberta & Quebec threatening to leave Canada.

A moral divide.

Why do we clear snow? Why not make vehicles that can traverse all conditions? Pedestrians change footwear, shoes, boots, ski, snowshoes. Why not vehicles running on land, water, snow? Work with nature. Wheels aren’t made for snow.

No snow plows, salt, municipal budget overages

Climate change poses an interesting problem. With increased chances of your house being destroyed by fire or flood, why would anyone buy one? If you work in construction, real estate or mortgage lending vote wisely. Your future depends on it.

Marcol2 makes a good point in the comments. " why didn't the City's solicitor weigh in during the Budget meeting to explain the legal implications of Council's decision?"
LETTER: Guelph has a legal duty to clear snowy bike lanes
'If Guelph knowingly encourages people to use bike lanes, but then allows hazards to persist in those lanes, the city may be responsible for the consequences that flow from municipal inaction'

'immature' and an 'insult'

Even many Conservatives see this for what it is.

We seem to give out a lot of speeding tickets and impaired fines with little success. Maybe we should take their cars and give them horses to get around until they learn their lesson.

Cost of living.

That's an interesting term when you think about it. The moment we adopted a monetary system living started to cost. Up until then, living was free.

Maybe we should begin again.

only 13 per cent of voters ranked climate change as one of their top three issues, well back of concerns like the cost of living (64 per cent) and Donald Trump (34 per cent). 😢
