Wall update. I don’t know how much more I’ll get done this season but currently the uppermost wall has all the capstones cut and glued in. The top step is fully cut but not glued in yet. And most of the ledge has been cleaned out. Still lots of cap stone work left to do. #backyardmakeover

Book #193 of #100GreatestBooks: Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh. A non-existent mystery is set up in the prologue and it contains several interesting characters that get just forgotten about. A well written story but one I had much higher expectation for.

So republicans are blaming democrats for the shutdown when they not only control all the cards but also cancelled a vote set for today, two days before a shutdown, again which they blamed democrats for causing, again which they refused to work with democrats at all. Oh my hell.

As a straight, white, male I’m ready to acknowledge that gun violence and mass shootings are by FAR perpetuated by straight, white, males. So it seems to me we have a straight, white, male problem in this country and they (we) should have their (our) gun rights stripped away.

I can never remember the name of that dystopian series where the characters hunt each other in a game and most of them start out reluctant, others less so, but more and more of them get into it as the game goes on, so I’ve just ended up calling is Hunger Squid.

DYK that while not the primary tourist destination it contains geological attributes of both parks, both the northern extents of the Teton Mts and remnants of the 2.1 million year old Yellowstone Caldera.
