Memory: years ago, probably late 90s, early 00s staying the night at my aunt's house sleeping on her couch & watching the Mariners play an insane extra innings game...like insane amount (20 innings? I don't know...) while flipping back and forth between Clerks on IFC (first time I had ever seen it).

If anything, we've tried the way so many progressives want to go in the past there. We literally did it in 2020 with Sarah Gideon, who was young, progressive and ... lost by nine points.

I don't think Democrats win this seat with Graham Platner. Now if Collins doesn't run? I agree with you.

I don't see how it doesn't in Maine at the senate level. It's already a Democratic stronghold. The only reason Maine keeps electing Collins is that she's a name & they keep running no-name candidates who look good on paper but lose spectacularly despite everyone thinking this is the year she loses.

I'd rather have Biden than Trump, tho...I suspect if Graham Platner is the nominee, Democrats will again lose Maine and this is probably their best (and maybe only hope) to flip a Republican seat for six years ... while also getting Collins out who has been difficult to beat even in unpopular years.

I'm fine with her running because I think she's the only viable candidate that could beat Collins. Democrats have spent millions in Maine running no-names, or little names like Sara Gideon, who talk the good talk, seem great on paper ... and then lose by nine-points vs Collins.

Rumors out there that the Huntsman Center will be demolished after this season. I don't believe it. Since Utah's new proposed arena isn't being built on the current Huntsman Center site, it makes no sense to demolish it before that new arena is built.
