I love being home (retired) with my hubby, our cats and living on the water. Enjoy gardening, birding, and everything about nature. I spend way too much time researching family history. I am an artist of anything glass and love to create beautiful pieces.

Donald Trump has increased his personal wealth by almost $2 billion in a year. The presidency is his ticket to bribes, blackmail, shady business deals & pardons for felons who can afford them.

He is not in office for America. He is in office to avoid prison & illegally enrich himself. #maga #greed

What worries me with ice is that the public has no way of knowing if they are really ice. They have unmarked vehicles, wear masks, show no warrants or legal paperwork, no identification, and appear very unprofessional and violent. Anyone could be impersonating ice to terrorize our communities.

Dr. King believed our democracy would only make sense when every child was fed, every mind was educated, and every community had dignity and freedom.

That vision is still unfolding. So, on this MLK Day, let us recommit to the work of building the world he dared to imagine.

The first thing Virginia Spanberger did after being sworn in as Governor of Virginia was repeal Youngkin’s executive order requiring state and local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE.

This is the kind of leadership Democratic governors nationwide should be emulating.

MLK was only 39 when he was killed. Growing up, I thought that was old. But I’m 43 now and I’m stunned by the burden he shouldered at such a young age. I’m also a lot more aware of how hard it is, at any age, to carry the hopes and dreams of an oppressed people on your shoulders, as so many do.
