Where he went wrong was publicly threatening Johnson. I don't know if he wanted the glory or credit but the current situation was completely predictable. MAGATS are well known for this type of behavior.

The smart thing would have been to leak it anonymously and let things progress from there.

He supports and promotes legislation that harms the poorest and most defenseless in society and all with that condescending smirk on his face.

That would be possible, I suppose, if he showed a single instance of following the principles and teachings of it's founder... but he does not.

He lies constantly, he coveted the position of speaker so intensely that he constantly supports someone who is the embodiment of the seven deadly sins.

Many people say I should get the Noble Piece Prize. Grown men, big guys, tough guys, guys who have never cried in their lives come up to me on the street with tears in their eyes and say "Sir, you sure take the Prize". And I say I should get it. And they say you certainly should.

Here is the main problem with this latest lie.

The FBI weren't even investigating Homan. They were after another target when he blundered into their sights and demanded 50K for future favors.

It's had to claim entrapment when you weren't even the subject of the investigation.
