Are there some bad actors? Absolutely!

Bigotry is bad!

But shipping a character outside of their implied orientation isn’t inherently homophobic and restricting people from doing so is closer to gatekeeping than protecting representation.

Most people who make non-canon ships aren’t trying to erase Whispangle. They just enjoy exploring multiple interpretations. Whispangle can still exist and be celebrated without treating alternative ships as attacks on representation.

One of the most annoying parts about bluesky is the block list.

In theory, it's a pretty cool feature.

It can be randomly updated and then you're just blocked by those people as well.

But I've lost multiple mutuals because of it.

If you're on a big list, then you're just kind of screwed.
