This was sent the day after @rmac.bsky.social and @mattdrange.bsky.social reported in Forbes that Thiel was behind the lawsuit that would bankrupt Gawker

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

No, fuck this excuse-making. Trump talked endlessly about getting retribution on everyone who he thought wronged him, and that definitely included blue-state voters. People who voted for Trump either actively wanted this, or were indifferent to it happening. But they didn’t not know. We all knew.
Seriously, folks, people did NOT vote for murder on the streets. A majority of those who voted went for Trump, and to win power, those against Trump will have to win many of them over, not reject them all as people who want fascism.

Don't let anyone tell you this isn't what they voted for
"mass deportation now" literally signaled a desire for pogroms and ethnic cleansing. They wanted everyone who doesn't speak English, and their children, and maybe also their grandchildren, out, preferably through violence.

The murder of Alex Pretti was not a "hearbreaking tragedy." It was a capital crime and should be always be called that.

Abolish my ICE, too, while you're at it. And yours, if you're willing to give up all that cute wiggle room you just gave yourself.
It's time to abolish Trump’s ICE.

Catherine, we live in a world that has heights, and those heights have to be wuthered by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Hindley?

(Just thought this bc someone today said they thought young Jack Nicholson would've been a good Heathcliff. This joke's a real jerk store moment)
