I'm all for the Lords revising the work of the Commons and improving legislation before it receives Royal Assent.

But, 587 amendments from seven peers isn't scrutiny.

It's wrecking the clearly expressed will of the elected House of Commons.

Always an honour to take part in our local Remembrance services - at Southern Cemetery and the Cenotaph at the weekend.

I also planted Manchester Withington’s stake in the Parliament memorial garden — honouring those who served, sacrificed, and lost their lives in conflict.

The Boaz Trust held their first parliamentary drop-in this week. It was useful to discuss homelessness among people newly granted refugee status, including in south Manchester. Important work being done to push for positive policy reform.
