the stadium stopped selling alcohol seven innings ago. everyone at this game is sober now
Giant packs from Blick have served me well (also stencils). There’s been a lot of signs this year.
Kept my sign from the last No Kings protest.

I enjoy the confused looks from 99% of the young people. (Abe Froman is the sausage king of Chicago, dammit!)
Every single day I’m proud to be a Chicagoan.

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”

Somewhat redundant that the Bears are honoring the 85 Bears tonight considering Chicagoland residents traditionally perform a small ceremony honoring the 85 Bears each morning before starting their day
I live close to there and there are fires all of the time, a lot of burning of plastics/chemical stuff, and a few have spread and become a huge issue. A lot of garbage is being dumped down into the river as well.

The Onion News Network truck is currently stationed outside the Broadview ICE Detention facility just outside of Chicago.
*everywhere

(I mock people who don’t proofread posts, got what I deserve).
I highly recommend getting one of the AIA guides to Chicago (for a phone book app so it’s always on you). Everyone you go you can look up the neighborhood and be blown away by the amount of significant architecture that you may have never previously noticed.

A recent study found that nearly 80 percent of forests in and around Chicago are infested with invasive shrubs

Restoration crews and thousands of volunteers are working diligently to change things

Simple and accurate, no one will ever be better than El Tractor.
And you can never have too much of a good idea. This was my sign…
I was giddy with joy and sprinted through the crowd to congratulate the person with the very, very, very, VERY most Chicago sign, a take on the Shawon-O-Meter!
This was my sign…

I think we should tell Gen Z that Head Cleaner's "Play Both Sides" was the 🔥 album of 1986
Good day for the river. Today was the big Chicago River Day with clean ups everywhere! This is what was hauled out by canoe around River Park.

I am unapologetically telling you right now that Chicago is going to be insufferable about this, there is still a fading cardboard John Paul II in a Michigan Ave storefront looking out at Grant Park because he spoke there *once.*

Mark Kolasa, your Montrose Beach Dunes Volunteer Community Steward, alerted us and the birding community this morning of two banded Piping Plovers at Montrose.

I would love it because of where I live. People have pointed out it would be really slow because of no wake zones, but I could live with that.
