We built an edge-native, behavior-adaptive drone system to detect group-level vigilance in real time to avoid stressing wildlife while improving data.
Started with 3 weeks of manual piloting in Kenya (KABR) → WildWing → now real-time behavior monitoring.

Had a full-circle moment at the Ohio Celebration of Women in Computing #OCWiC this weekend! I first attended two years ago as a junior PhD student, fresh from my first field trip to Kenya. Now, as a PhD candidate, I returned to present my latest work after a second Kenya trip.

Super cool demo! I tested out the segmentation on some drone imagery of zebras I collected in Kenya a few weeks back - it worked really well!
