Up to 169 IES contracts have been canceled, threatening critical education research. This is a major setback for educators & children with disabilities who rely on evidence-based practices. Urge Congress to protect IES research! #4SpecialEducation

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.

“Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.
White House pauses all federal grants, sparking confusion
The Trump administration has put a hold on all federal financial grants and loans, affecting tens of billions of dollars in payments.

Wholeheartedly agree! I think most teacher candidates (and current teacher social media personas) do not realize that the social media consent form parents sign for the school do not extend to their personal pages. I would also add that displaying student work on their social media is also a big no.

SPED researchers and admin: What journals do you recommend for an article on SPED administrators supporting reading instruction for students with disabilities? I am seeing JOSEL (CASE journal) but open to other options!
