-power switching
-bepsoke suit

-hidden nip nop rings
-secret tattoo
-starchy, buttoned up on the outside, wild girl on the inside
-HOT HOT HOT

thank you to @jenniferrnn.bsky.social for reminding me
cover for inside bet featuring that one cropped to the nose hot white guy with his jacket tossed over his shoulder that was an elite stock photo of its time
by katie porter two photos from GQ spread featuring Joseph Gordon Levitt getting scandalous withe a hot model, he's tugging her bodice strings with his teeth in one while they are in a limo and in the other he's gripping her bum/thigh while she takes off her lingerie in a hotel room

So much soreness. I've worked out 4 days in a row for the first time since May, I think.
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
Ha! I'm also sore and feeling very old tonight
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
YES!! I think this is it exactly. I'm feeling bloodthirsty and these books help with that. As does my boxing classes.
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
LMAO! It is so odd. I am not sure I enjoy it per se, but I can't look away. And often I'm like "DIE SUCKER DIE!"
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
Yeah . . . it is weird. And they often tend to have a rom-com type feel - for example in Scythe and Sparrow the MC Rose throws up around anything gory. And she throws up quite a bit. I'm not sure how I feel about it . . . but can't look away either.
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
Yes. The MCs are serial killer types. Generally, they are only killing really bad guys. I am fascinated.

Brynne Weaver's The Ruinous Love trilogy is one such example

I admit that I find this serial killer romance trend to be fascinating. I am having so many thoughts about the concept of justice in romance bc I think that this plays a large part in this serial killer trend as it is normally serial killers killing serial killers or other bad dudes. #Romancelandia

In keeping with my weird serial killer romance obsession (which I guess I love bc I am feeling very stabby of late???), I finished Brynne Weaver's Scythe and Sparrow. I am waiting for my hold on bk 3 in the trilogy (Leather and Lark) to come in to the library. #Romancelandia

My Mom stayed w/ my husband & I this summer. She didn't want to be alone up here after my Dad died in January. It was wonderful to have her here. She has returned home & I miss her. Often we'd be sitting in our respective chairs in my living room reading on our kindles not talking.

Today's wordle brought me joy
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
I know! Very wild time.

The Ben and Judd story in Nalini Singh's newsletter is making me need to re-read Caressed by Ice. So many happy sighs.
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
Ha! I did figure that out. :)

Okay. I have downloaded the Boundless ebook app onto my Boxx and my Kindle Fire. The Boston Public Library is discontinuing Hoopla and is implementing Boundless which is by Baker & Taylor (which librarians will know). Let's see how this works.
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
Thank you. I have it downloaded into the Boundless ebook app on my Boxx
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
I can also read it in the Boundless book app but I chose the ADE edition by mistake. I think I've gotten it all set in the app.
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
I was able to get it downloaded into the Boundless ebook app thankfully.
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
I cannot read it like that. And apparently one cannot change the format. So, I have returned it and will attempt to check it out again. UGH!
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
When my latest ebook hold came in at the library, I mistakenly chose the epub edition that has to be read in Adobe Digital Editions. I have never attempted to read a book in this. I find it unreadable. UGH!

I read Accomplice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer which also has a bit of an ending. The series (& relationship between Sage & The Villain) is not at HEA yet. But this series has brought me joy even tho things seem bleak for Sage, The Villain and their crew at the end of this. #Romancelandia

August Lane by Regina Black was one of my favorite romances of the month (and probably the year). So angsty with very human and messy characters all of whom I loved. #Romancelandia
jenniferrnn.bsky.social
In August, I also started Piper Rayne's Plain Daisy Ranch books. I am currently 2 books into this series and have the 3rd one waiting for me on my kindle. Small town romance with ranchers. I am fully invested. #Romancelandia
