Gail outweighs Lennie by 10 lbs, is taller and longer. So when they wrestle she still wins. He is 8, he was not full grown when I adopted him. She is at least 11, probably more. Not sure what I will do when he realizes she is old.

My landscaper - I was one of his first clients - still shows up to mow my lawn and mulch the leaves even though it is November. He will do this until there is snow.

I feel seen - I still haven’t worn a coat yet but did text my snowplow guy who is enthusiastic because my neighbor pays him and his partner in Philippino beer to clear the end of his driveway after a big storm and the lesbian couple across the street offers cash.

I remembered to text my snow plow guy and get on his list for snow removal this year. He knows my Philippino neighbor will pay in beer to have his driveway cleared and the lesbian couple across the street will offer cash to clear their Subarus.

When I had the two lab sharpei mixes - the big black lab-like boi (Abel) would run out an catch balls. 3/4 of the way back, his brother, Cain, would tackle him, steal the ball and bring it to me.

Every single response of mine says that NYC is a bad example and least important race yesterday - key PA and OH school board elections are going to have more national impact.

If you are still talking about the NYC Mayor election - you are missing the impact and scope of what happened yesterday across the country.That race is the only one where DEMs significantly underperformed 2024 - so it is meaningless. +60 statewide in GA? A blue shift across VA? Those are big.

The main reason it is news is because so much media is centered in NY instead of being spread out across the country - results from VA, NJ, PA, OH, MS, GA, CA and a lot of other races are more important and should be getting more press.

If Mamdani was really a strong candidate, he wouldn’t have underperformed Harris by 25 points. The real news from yesterday’s election is the places where DEMs over performed and the blue shift in rural areas.

My son said +8 on a generic ballot and TX style gerrymandering doesn’t work any more - everything goes to the DEMs closer to 1932 than anything we have seen in a while.

NYC is a bad example - it is one of the few races where the DEM underperformed Harris in 2024, by a lot. The shift in rural counties in VA, GA and even PA and OH says a lot more. Getting close to 1932 level shift.

Turnout was extremely high in 2024.

Majority of the DEM wins and over performance relative to 24 were moderate DEMs - lots of pick ups in areas that have been conservative for a long time. Just over 50% in a NYC mayoral race underperforms Harris by about 25 pts, real news is how much VA and NJ GOV over performed.

Gave up when they put Axelrod on. Also ignored how much Mandani underperformed compared to Harris in 24. The big news is where DEMs overperformed - in other words every other race in the country.

Today we are at mouse - 1, peanut butter fainted trap - 2, and rescued hunting dogs - 0. Although Lennie has killed 2 toys and saw a muskrat on his walk this evening. Gail thinks he is ridiculous.
