Fretless – The Wrath of Riffson Review
Fretless – The Wrath of Riffson is a game that has caught my eye at the last couple of PAX East conferences and I was excited to take the final game for a spin. Everything I liked from the demoes is better and bigger in the full game and while the music, combat and exploration was great I found the thin story held back the full potential for this game to shine, err, shred.

Dune Awakening Review: An Addicting Survival Journey on Arrakis
Bending over I pick up a handful of the sand, the lifeblood and death sentence of Arrakis. If it is not coated with Iron dust it is infused with the all holy Spice we wage eternal war over. When I …

The Alters: Multiplicity in Space
One of my favorites movies of all time is Moon starring Sam Rockwell as an astronaut that discovers he is a clone and new ones get created anytime they perish. Playing The Alters really reminded me of that movie, not so much in the how of clone creation, but of the dynamics between them. The game is innovative, endlessly interesting and genuinely fun to explore and experience especially as the story progresses.

PAX East Day 4 – Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch, Section 13, Splitgate 2, Strings Theory
The final day of PAX East is always bittersweet. It is a long, enjoyable but tiring conference where I log 18-20k steps each day and am overwhelmed with sites, sounds and interactions, So on the last day I tend to take my time, take breaks and just have a few appointments. I do like to check out the finals of the Almost Pro Tekken 8 tournament which is always an exciting end the PAX.

PAX East 2025 – Elden Ring Nightreign
The Elden Ring Nightreign experience was impossible to miss at PAX East this year. A giant blue dome in the middle of the Expo Hall with a near constant line made it instantly compelling and a destination for casual and hardcore fans alike. The nice thing about the experience is that it was ticketed, line up early, grab a timeslot and show up 15 minutes before the event.

PAX East 2025 Day 3 – Among Us 3D, CTR, Alt Deal, Heroes of Barcadia
The third day of PAX East is always the busiest of the year, so I took my knowledge from the first two days of wandering and concentrated on areas I had not explored yet. I did a deeper dive into the Tabletop area, joining a quick game of Magic the Gathering, grabbed some food at the trucks placed near that area and browsed some vendors.

PAX East 2025 – Attack on Titan: Apocalypse CCG Preview
On Day 2 of PAX East I was able to check out a number of videogames, but also got a chance to sit and play the UniVersus release of the PAX East 2025 - Attack on Titan: Apocalypse CCG Preview. This game is set in the reach multi property CCG set of universes created by UVS games and as a fan of the show and CCGs I had a blast with this preview.

PAX East 2025 – ‘Aether & Iron’ Preview
While PAX East started with a bang and I got to see a lot of great games, panels and people from the community a game I got to check out early stood out from the crowd. Aether & Iron from Seismic Squirrel caught my attention quickly with it's premise, art style and game design. Set in an alternate 1930s New York that has been transformed into a vertical city after the discovery of Aether.
