All the larian fanboys and girls defending them using genAI but actively hate on other companies for using it is the ultimate hypocrisy lmao its ok to criticize the company you like you know. Any use of genAI is morally corrupt bc construction of the foundational models used STOLEN data. No consent.

So the guy himself is saying they arent really even seeing productivity gains? He said they are just using AI because they are afraid of being left behind. He is inviting this public scorn by repeating techbro talking points for no benefit at all. The mind of a CEO is fascinating.

The thing thats so insidious about using AI this way is that one of the main ways artists get hired are studios looking for art references and they find us and reach out.
This is removing a major avenue to get work if they can just generate nameless derivations of our ideas.

W/ the larian news on genAI, it's even more important and special to support your fellow artists and writers in their solo projects. Bc at least those are always passion projects, put out specifically for their love of the genre, and are much more worthy of support than companies
