She’s very right wing, pro-austerity politician and she wants Trump to use our military for regime change in Venezuela. Maybe pro-democracy but still a terrible choice for the prize. She also supports Bukele and Milei. The world is a mess and most of our leaders are in the pockets of billionaires.

This is true & did happen. Machado got the prize for opposing the Venezuelan dictator, Maduro. She wants Trump to use our military to overthrow Maduro. She also supports Bukele & Milei and is a right wing austerity loving politician even if she is pro -democracy. Many better options for the prize.

It did happen. Sorry. She got the prize for fighting against the dictator Maduro, and she wants Trump to use the American military to effect regime change in Venezuela. Unfortunately, she supports Trump, Bukele and Milei. Gross.

No - of course not. Just saying - the world is quite a mess. Power corrupts. The lesson we keep learning. Democracy helps as long as you keep it. That's why they gave the Peace Prize to Machado, but then she goes and praises Trump - who is possibly going to be far worse for the world than Maduro.

Whereas Maduro is corrupt, unpopular, brutal and aligned with Russia and China. So he's no hero either. He came to power after Chavez who was much more successful and popular but weakened democracy. It seems a rule that power corrupts. And Democracy is a cure against that - until you lose it.

Maduro is awful , but of course there’s oil profits and China involved- so yes, it’s a shit show and we’ve contributed a lot to the instability of a bunch of South American countries. I’m no authority but what a mess.

Yes, everyone knows they can flatter & bribe Trump into doing their dirty work. Sadly, Machado is aligned with Milei & Bukele - two of the worst. There would have been much better prize recipients. Nobody wants Maduro in power - left or right, but haven't we made enough of a mess in South America?

The beneficiary of this attempt at regime change will likely be María Corina Machado, the Nobel Peace Prize recipient. Unfortunately, though anti-Maduro, she is still right wing and supports Milei in Argentina and Trump as well. This shit is complicated.

It's a 'training facility' like other countries also have here. We sell them weapons and jets and part of that is to agree to train them. But, being Qatar, the financial backers of Hamas, this is unusual and facilitated by Trump's corruption.

They posed & joked with Trump this year. Was a fan, never more. Same for all of baseball, w/%35 Latino born players not a peep about deportations. (except for Kike.) It's disgraceful. Players are mostly Maga millionaires. But not many fans are willing to give up MLB over this.
