i once bumped into ian mcdiarmid aka emporor sheev palpatine whilst on the way to the comic book store. i was the founder of my uni's star wars society which i told him about and he was very nice and asked me if i would be attending his play, which i did and which was very good.
Agreed (and glad to meet a fellow fan!). I loved the droid-type people who were manipulating the Wish World, and the bone creatures, all so cool. I love how the new seasons seem so much bigger but still capture the same who vibe :)
absolutely addddored wish world / the reality war. the rani, omega, unit, the Vlinx in a box. been stuck in my head ever since i watched it! #doctorwho #whovian

coming up to the 1.5 year anniversary of my obsession with the #metaverse and what it could do for #charities.

my conclusion? it's actually pretty cool! just, like, a better way of connecting ppl across the globe about things they love.
if you're a fan, drop ur fave sixth story below! iiiii gotta say timelash, the borad is my most thought-of classic villain lol.
relatable truths from the world of #crypto #philanthropy!

real talk - crypto is a fab asset charities can and do use to raise money for important causes and target passionate communities...

(but you'd be forgiven for running for the hills after searching 'crypto' on any social media just once!)
totes agree it can be quite detail-heavy sometimes! after a while bogged down in the technicalities, i'm now hoping to just celebrate the nice good stuff!
idk how many charity researchers exist on bluesky but if there are any i made some relatable content for us #research #charity #philanthropy
I'll be celebrating more exciting new frontiers of fundraising over the coming days/weeks (/forever... it is my job!) so pop a follow if that's your jam.✨💖🐸
You can check out all the fundraising campaigns I've mentioned in this thread:

HODLHope: hodlhope.org/home

RDMCC: www.roalddahlcharity.org/get-involved...

BRC: www.redcross.org.uk/get-involved...
Finally, British Red Cross have a well-optimised crypto campaign which allows donors to select their area of impact.

Giving crypto donors the opportunity to choose where their money matters is so powerful and really taps into the autonomy which underpins these exciting assets!
Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity knocks it out the park with their TGB-powered fundraiser, helping children with lifelong complex conditions.

It's wonderful how it embraces all the opportunities of digital fundraising from ETH to DAOs!
@savethechildren.org's #HODLHope campaign is one of my absolute faves!

On a mission to raise $10mill of Bitcoin to help empower young people across the globe, this project is fab on every level!

I especially love the leaderboards - such a forward thinking way of engaging the community!
Crypto can be nice: 3 inclusive projects working for good.✨💖

Working in the charity research space, I'm endlessly fascinated by the possibilities of #Web3 and #crypto.

But frequently, I find resources that either alienate or just confuse me, which is why I've made this lil' happy list.
