Trump's pick for FBI director has vowed to "come after" the media. But he also later emphasized to NBC News that his comments apply only if people "broke the law."

This is the guy Trump is installing as FCC chair.

The point here, IMO, is not that he’s going to go in and start yanking licenses.

But by saying things like this he can intimidate broadcasters into covering the Trump administration more favorably.
