Just a heads up, if you find yourself 23,000th in the DVLA queue for a driving test, you don't actually have time to get dressed, put on make up and make a coffee, and will return to your phone with two minutes of your alloted 10 minutes to book the test.

My son is 20 tomorrow and am reminded of midwives who let my husband stay beyond the visiting time, pulled the curtain round and let us watch Eurovision together on the ward, 20 years ago.
