I have learned that while I was out of the country my mother drank my Rhone Syrahs and replaced them with Beajolaises that have stickers announcing high wine ratings. The point was not the rating! A Beaujolais is not a Rhone Syrah!

ICE is around today, and someone in a local FB group is going after me for saying that immigrants have due process rights, regardless of status. This person has defended this by citing sections of the Constitution that do not actually exist. And the moderator has blocked me for calling for citations

To let @hignfyus.bsky.social per your podcast discussion on the mental ability test, I do it once a year for a med school study where I'm the young, mostly healthy data point (with a weird eye condition). Did it Monday and they again apologized for how simple the test is.

I had the weirdest dream last night - Phil Ellis from Taskmaster was at my local pub and started fighting one of the regulars there who kind of looks like him while singing The Pogues. And then my neighbor used a lawnmower to clean up the blood from the fight. Feel free to interpret that one.

Had follow-on surgery today. Woke up to them playing Smash Mouth's All Star. Apparently it's what that clinic does, and I am here for it. (It also drowned out the sounds of all the kids crying from tonsillectomies.)

I get people want to protest, but don't illegally take a handicapped spot to do it. You might have people who are disabled (like me right now), who'd like to participate but you made it so they can't. It'd help if you had actual empathy instead of just wanting to post for the 'Gram. Ableist jerks...
