I am facilitating a healing retreat this weekend for 13 survivors of violent crime. Sexual assault survivors and the families of murdered loved ones. The hard work is learning not to run from our pain, grief and wounds, and also find room for those moments of inexplicable joy and delight.

Friends, I want to say something loud and clear.... YOU CAN'T HAVE SEX WITH A CHILD!!! IT IS RAPE, NOT SEX. Call it what it is and let's stop protecting these rapists. By not using the proper term, you are somehow shifting the responsibility of consent. You cannot give consent when you are a child.
