Loving the new components! The updates to the theming section look great, too. It's crazy how easy this platform brings changes. I feel like every time I step away for a week, I come back to something better.
Also new in today's v1.110 release:

We’ve redesigned the “who can reply” settings to make them clearer and easier to use. You can also now save your choices as the default for future posts, giving you easier control over the conversations you start.

Very cool. I didn't fully understand his goal, but the video was great. In a way, BlueSky is doing the same thing, compared to what X has become (the antagonist)

I really enjoy watching those content creators who travel by bike from the West to the East. It's fascinating to see them applying for visas at each border. It makes you realize, however, that this is a privilege almost exclusive to Westerners.

Things are not useful when they don't solve a problem. This feels to me like the case for most AI agents. Most of the time, they are simply a new interface to an old problem which already has valid ways to be solved.

Part of the reason why I’m so insistent about folks understanding AI capabilities is that they’re here to stay and we need to start thinking about what to do in such a world. Putting the genie back in the bottle is a pleasant fantasy that delays serious reckoning

This perfectly encapsulates how I feel living in the US. The republican party is an insane death cult, the democratic party is 3 corporations in a trench coat, and the "socialists" are just the completely normal left-wing capitalists you'd find in any of 2 dozen European nations.
Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’
Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given

So like they say, every dog has its day
And like they say, God works in a mysterious way
So I pray, remembering the days of my youth
As I prepare to meet my moment of truth

Years ago I swore that I would never play Fortnite. It looked stupid and childish. But it turns out there is no promise I wouldn’t break for the sake of the Simpsons.

Man, I love Zed. It's such an awesome editor. My only problem is GitHub Copilot just won't work right. It'll just stop thinking out of nowhere. On VSCode, it's perfect! So, I always have to fall back on Claude Code or the Gemini CLI to get any AI stuff done in Zed.

a software package registry on atproto would actually be so good

qualify things as you need: the installed name, the verified project DNS (kinda like Java), the publishing DID, the signed package record - or *some combination* of the above

I got FC26 for Switch 2. It had been a couple of years since I last played FIFA (on PS5), and honestly, I don't remember that version being much better than how this one runs on the Switch 2. It's definitely playable and enjoyable.
