We honored Major Fannie Griffin McClendon, the last of the Six Triple Eight — the only all-Black, all-woman battalion of WWII.

They fought racism. They fought sexism. They fought for America — and for dignity.

At 105 next month, Major McClendon is proof that legacy lives on through us.
