IT: Welcome To Derry is a must-watch for me. IT was one of the first horror series I ever saw, so it holds a special place in my heart. I've always wondered about the true origins of Pennywise. I'm genuinely excited to see the deeper lore they explore in this prequel. Fingers crossed it delivers!

Movie #19: The Rental (2020)

Tapping into a modern fear: What if your rental host is watching you? This is definitely in my "the call is coming from inside the house" wheelhouse. A great thriller that makes you think twice before booking your next getaway.

Movie #18: Hell of a Summer (2023)

Swapped for a slasher-comedy! Camp counselors are picked off by a killer in a devil mask. It’s closer to Wet Hot American Summer, relying on sharp comedy and great ensemble energy. A fun modern subgenre take.

Movie #17: Paranormal Activity 3 (2011)

The perfect prequel! Set in 1988, this chapter fully reveals the roots of the curse, showing 'Tobi's first appearance to young Katie and Kristi. It gives the series the deep lore it needed. A solid, scary origin story.

Movie #16: Deadline (2009)

Hauntings with a reason! A writer in an isolated house finds tapes that reveal a dark, traumatic past. The film keeps you guessing: Is she seeing ghosts, or is this the final stage of her psychological breakdown?

#31DaysOfHorror #HalloweenMarathon
Movie #15: Paranormal Activity 2 (2010)

Ready to quit the series, but PA2 is a huge improvement. The multi-camera setup works better, and it finally builds a cohesive story explaining the demonic entity's motivations. Less random camera-watching, more plot!

Movie #14: 12 Hour Shift (2020)

A nurse's organ-trafficking scheme goes sideways. This is a dark, escalating comedy of errors where chaos reigns. Not scary and the plot is thin, but it’s watchable for the sheer absurdity!

Movie #13: Paranormal Activity (2007)

A required watch for the marathon, but frankly, not my thing. This found footage movie’s slow burn was too dull; I really struggled to pay attention to the static camera feed. Glad to check it off the list!

Movie #12: The Girl Who Got Away (2021)

This serial killer thriller is about a survivor hunted by her escaped tormentor. The twists and relentless pace felt like a Michael Myers sequel with more psychological suspense. Tense watch for the marathon!

Movie #11: An Angry Boy (2024)

Checked this one off the list. It’s an indie thriller that was slow to start and tackles genuinely harrowing subject matter (trauma, cults). While the central performance was strong, this is not one I'd recommend or revisit.

Movie #10: Alone
Well-directed and tense, but pretty standard overall. Solid enough, just nothing that really stands out or surprises.

Movie #9: I Don’t Understand You
Total comedy of errors. Not really horror, just a lot of chaos, confusion, and bad decisions. A fun watch for the most part.

Movie #8: Keep Watching 📹
Creepy to think about being watched all the time, and honestly, in most places, you probably are. One of the better movies this marathon, but I wish it focused more on who was watching and why.

Movie #7: Good Neighbours (2024) 🏙️
Weird. I’m not even sure what was going on with the kid. Was he the one being told to do something "for the greater good"? Trying not to spoil anything, but I’m confused. A bit.

Movie #6: Stream 💀
The premise seemed promising… but wow, this was rough. The effects looked rubbery, the plot made no sense, and the acting didn’t help. They barely explain what the contest even is. Honestly, the best thing I can say is that I finished it.

Movie #5: Wolf Man

Picked this up for Julia Garner, but honestly… kinda boring. No story or lore—just watching a guy slowly turn into a wolf while his daughter freaks out. Not scary at all.

#HalloweenMarathon #HorrorMovies #WolfMan #WerewolfMovie
Movie #4: Evil Dead Rise

Gruesome, brutal, and hard to watch—but harder to look away. I'd recommend this one, but probably not a rewatcher for me.

Movie #3: The Final Girls

Campy, fun, and surprisingly touching. Feels more like a romcom than a horror movie, but the 80s slasher homage and clever satire make it worth watching. PG-13 limits the scares, but the cast chemistry is great.

Movie #2: Pandorum

Dark sci-fi horror with solid atmosphere and tension. It definitely kept me watching, but the story left me scratching my head. I feel like I missed some key pieces of the plot, even though the mood and visuals worked.

Day 1 #Hauntober: V/H/S

Honestly, I was bored. The shaky cam gave me motion sickness, and the sound design made it tough to follow. I just don’t think found footage movies are for me. A couple segments had potential, but overall… not the strongest start.

I’ve always loved games like PowerWash Simulator and Crime Scene Cleaner. Something about them just feels super meditative. Now along comes Kaiju Cleanup, letting me tidy up after the biggest monsters around. Honestly can’t wait to dive in.

Both games are spine-tingling, thought-provoking, and brutally honest about the darker corners of humanity.

Amazing work from a single indie dev.
