The political project of the Trump Admin is mass death. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow. This is the real threat, not the people they target to justify their actions.

Yes. As I remember from the Eastern Shore, "Downeeocean.."

Molas Pass at Sunrise (Sept 2025)

#Photography #Landscape #Nature #Outdoors #Colorado #Sunrise #SunriseSaturday #Fallorado #FallColors #AutumnVibes #Mountains #SanJuanMountains
Wide alpine valley dotted with dark conifers and patches of yellow aspens, framed by layered mountain ridges; dramatic sunrise casts orange and purple light on thick clouds, leaving the foreground in shadow.

You pay for your prescription and they give you 6x the same amount in cash.

That's not the Valle, BTW. Not there yet.

Yes, good description. From Taos to Costilla and Amalia and the the Valle, all the way across and come out just north of Cimarron, then all the way back. Agree about not much non-driving time. Still worth it. Drive 5 miles out of Cimarron to Philmont & come back, too. Pronghorns almost guaranteed.

Ask @nmrocks.bsky.social about camping choices, she's an expert. But it's definitely day-trippable from Taos and your Subaru will be just fine. Last gas before entering Valle Vidal is at the intersection in Costilla. You'll be here 10-15 minutes later.

Right! Sadistic & psychotic to pull the plug on Esmeralda 7.

He was so goddamn cool he'd freeze the sun. I saw him once at a distance standing with his band outside a venue in the fall of '63 in Dallas. (NO, REALLY!) He looked just like this photo. It's still burned into my memory.

I see what you did there. 😆
