Around the corner from me, a hit and run driver ran over the foot of a guy wearing a high-vis vest and killed his dog. How would that driver be found and held to consequences (so they don’t do that again, or worse) without police?

His “peace” plan is simply what Hamas wanted two years ago: their people returned from Israeli prisons and the occupiers off their land.

The right has always been better at twisting words to their own pejorative use in the public narrative than the left has been at keeping concepts and intentions simple and clear. George Lakoff warned Democrats about their disconnect with framing the narrative decades ago, but they didn’t listen.

… the drivers on the left would all need to leave a car length open between each other (not just when there ARE cars visible to the right, but also when there aren’t, because cars could appear in the closing lane at any time). I’m an anxious, precipitous rule follower, so I merge fast 😅 (2/2)

Gonna stick my neck out here and say I can’t stand the push for zipper merges, because (and I think this dovetails with what you’re talking about) it looks good in an animation, but doesn’t match the reality of how people approach freeways: bumper to bumper. For a zipper merge to work… (1/2)

Also, it’s funny how Trump’s peace “accomplishment” is simply exactly what Hamas wanted to accomplish two years ago: their people held in prison in Israel released and the occupying forces out of their land.
