It's a bullshit lazy phrase. I was raised a feminist by my mother and will support women in their struggle to protect their existing rights under the equality act as the supreme court recently did whilst recognising the rights of trans people to be protected from discrimination.

Naughty. The BMA made that comment in relation to intersex not transexual people. for women Scotland ltd are amazing and the court recognised the separate protection for trans people from discrimination rightly so

I will leave that to the government to work and if your referencing any comments today the total would be 1. I'm under no illusion this is a fight led by women but just as with the suffragette movement mens support was accepted as a necessity rather than a priority. Of course I'm fine with that.

I agree mocking or discrimination are very wrong. so as the supreme court cleared up in the UK male and female sex is immutable outside of a tiny number of intersex people who should be respected

I can see that the oppression of women and the decrease in their safety is at a societal and political level all of our issue.if funding is removed from safer streets initiatives it's women who are more at risk. If women's voices are silenced in debate it's women who have greater consequences.

You can't crush sex based oppression without recognising sex as immutable. If oppression of women is not challenged women will be less safe.
