We film 4 games in a typical day and if they go mega long we will axe the 4th. I'd say that happens maybe 20% of the time. We generally release the long games though. I don't think we have had one over 2.5hrs raw that I can remember.

It depends. We had to reshoot 4 episodes of final fantasy (an entire filming day) because one of the mic receivers wasn't plugged in. We've had less serious things happen (like mic batteries being dead for a minute or two before we notice) where we just put up a disclaimer that the audio is wonky.

We have a soft moratorium on boardwipes after the 60min mark.

Also if we are filming something special like a sponsored set-related episode that we only have one shot at, we will generally not keep openers with Sol Ring.

We pay guests a flat appearance fee, and if they are from out of town we cover their airfare, hotel, food, and transportation while they are here.

We try to get out for at least one or two big meals as a group and at least one non-magic recreational activity.

Honestly, transferring footage when it's all done. Most of the time it is fine but occasionally something gets corrupted or an overhead light was on or we're missing audio for some reason. Just a gut punch every time it happens.

Common misconception. Every time we set a start time, one person bids and the others respond by either CHECKING, FOLDING, RAISING, or CALLING. When each player either checks or calls in priority order, we arrive at a call time.

My council of four deck is kinda like that. It feeds people so many cards that it evens out uneven pods, but it leads to the opposite problem -- everyone is stocked and the game grinds to a halt.

One of the coolest parts about building our studio is that I can make my dream office setup.

The white desk on the right is going to be a fully kitted out editing/streaming PC. We are going to have places throughout the studio where you can roll up and plug it in, like this spelltable setup!
