Public housing is important for our society, but it's not enough to build it. We need oversight to make sure someone keeps-up with the up-keep. Protect our initial investments--and our people--through keeping things well-maintained.

Today in Psychology (28th September 1899), Nancy Bayley was born. A pioneering figure in the field of developmental psychology, Bayley is best known for the longitudinal Growth Study, which among other things helped establish standards of physical, motor and behavioral development.

It all starts with people knowing their rights. Bad landlords try all kinds of things to get tenants to leave, but the courts need to force them to follow the law and eviction process. Here are some extreme examples of what went on in Philly:
