Did you know? Gloves 🧤 can get contaminated as easily as bare hands.

When medical gloves are misused/overused, they may not serve as a protective equipment rather become potential means of germ transmission.

I found my doppelgänger
the person to the right.
Attended my first SHEA conference and wow, what a fantastic and inspiring group of people and presentations.

Thank you to @sheaepi.bsky.social for choosing me as one of your international ambassadors this year, and to my fellow IAPs.

Hope to be back again in the near future!

Although this year's flu season is now ending, the dropping flu vaccination rate in children likely contributed to the highest number of pediatric deaths from flu in 15 years. Please remember this next fall when flu vaccines become available - they protect children (and adults) from severe disease.
CDC reports 216 child deaths this flu season, the most in 15 years
More U.S. children have died this flu season than at any time since the swine flu pandemic 15 years ago.

Do you really need the gloves you are wearing?

Environmental Sustainability might be one more reason why you should thin before you glove.

Just had a great conversation about the role of SoMe for journals with fellow editors @justinbmoorephd.bsky.social @jkopsidas.bsky.social and others. Curious how #medsky feels about the use of SoMe by journals they read. What works? What’s missing?
It took a lot of work and dedication and a team of PID specialists from 4 EU countries to create this training tool

both for the hospital but also for the primary care setting.

We made it and it is revolutionary!
