After being part of the NYC march today, and seeing pictures from all over the country, one thing worth noting: for all the Republican hew and cry about Biden (overreach, mental decline, yada yada), there was not one single protest like today's No Kings protest during his time in office.

Absolutely. A few months before the election, I listened to Nicolle Wallace try to get him to say voting for Trump was a bad idea. She wasn't expecting him to say he was voting for Harris, just that voting for Trump would not end well. Nope, he couldn't/wouldn't do it — FAFO

No, he didn't. He chose to do that to give the GOP members of Congress a pass on what they're choosing to do that prevents that money from being accessed the way it's supposed to be.

Good news — every Democrat that wins office moves things along in a better direction. But an interesting election situation. If the candidate who identifies as Republican conceded when he was down 250 votes, it must be common knowledge which citizens of Fairbanks vote, and which don't.

If, by some chance, Cuomo wins, many of us will wonder just how corrupt his campaigning methods were (did he pay off Eric Adams, did he accept some sort of incentive from Trump, etc....), and whether he'll harass women once he is in office.

And it needs to be pointed out those are not "blue cities" in red states. Memphis, maybe, but the others are definitely a mix, at best (if not red — looking at St. Louis), and probably dominated by Republican local leadership and Congressional representation.

I'm on the cusp of boomers w/herd immunity & am too old to have been vaxxed. Measles hit my family when I was a toddler—no one remembers/knows if I actually had it (youngest of 5). Medicare coverage of the titer is murky, but I got the mmr booster last spring anyway. Measles—not how I want to go out

Since the news of the FBI searching Bolton's house broke, I just keep thinking about watching @nicollewallace.bsky.social try to get Bolton to admit, on air, that Trump wasn't a good choice of who to vote for last year. Wonder what Bolton thinks now…

The places troops have been deployed so far tell the story. Mostly near the National Mall, large monuments & other tourist-heavy areas....Near the Washington Monument over the weekend, troops posed for photos with tourists. (bc tourist spots are hotbeds of crime?!?)
