Had to contact social security a week ago. Was placed on hold for 4 hours. It was the only way possible to make an in-person appointment. Once connected, I thanked the employee profusely and told her they all have my support. I think we all need to be extra kind to federal staffers-especially now.

Graduate-level words? You must mean middle school or high school graduate level (I hope). Both 'acquiesce' and 'fortitude' are common words. Hard to imagine someone having to "crack a dictionary" (do you mean 'Google it?') for either word!

Keep the truth telling movement going. Share the histories and contributions of women and people of color. Voices omitted in the past telling of history won't be silenced again. Tell your own story. Tell the stories of your ancestors. Listen to people's stories. Share.

Terrible people are celebrating the firing and layoffs of federal employees. How can anyone celebrate forced unemployment and the stress that losing a job costs our fellow human beings? Individuals & families will struggle, people may lose their homes or even their lives. Who celebrates that?
