Dropped off gifts for my parents, I mention I was in Gilford, NH for work, he asks how I got there. I go into the story about my gps being annoyed and taking me on a different route back. Then he goes into routes that he’d have taken, I look to my 16to and say “you see where I get it from?” 😆

Took the kids to school (16yo drove there), kids ask me to put on some music. I put on a Christmas song…

Fine, I put on Hayley Williams “Brotherly Hate” the 16yo was tapping his hand on the wheel along with the song pretty quickly.

It always feels so awkward when I have to run the meetings on my own because I can’t run it AND take notes so I keep having to pause to write something down.

Yesterday I drove for about 8 hours (to/from a job site), today I feel like I have a hangover with body aches. Fun. I know I’m dehydrated, which is why I feel hungover, and my neck/ shoulders/arms and even hips hurt from holding an iPad and moving a large camera around, and the hours of sitting. 😩

The best thing about being the parent to take one kid somewhere is the time to chat one on one about whatever. Somehow the 12yo & I got to talking Star Wars and special effects and how the original movie will be 50! in a couple years.

Me “no it’s my turn. It’s not even 10, I can stay in my robe and read if I want to. I have time.”

12yo helped me pick his and his brother’s Christmas pjs then questions me why I’m buying 3 of the same shirt in 3 sized. What’s that for? What are you doing? Dude! Maybe it’s a gift, like those pjs you just helped me with. 🤦🏻♀️

I’m actually really surprised by my top albums this year, 4 of the 5 came out in October which means I only had two months, really only one for the new Florence, to push these to the top. They are all fantastic and I played them on a loop for days.

Apparently I skipped over the part of the middle school email that said they were doing a spirit week this week. Luckily my kid pays attention, today is crazy sock day, he’s wearing his fun socks.

Very annoyed with coffee shops that do all sorts of coffee/espresso/tea drinks but can’t make a London Fog.
One shop asked me how to make it, at least she knew what kind of tea. The second made it with “English tea” and no sweetener. It’s ok to ask a coworker how to do it correctly.

I think far too many new businesses use FB as their only way to communicate/only web presence. You need a website, you need word of mouth, you need customers sharing your social media posts EVERYWHERE.
This is the first I’m even hearing of this business, I’m in brewer about once a week.

We’re in a school district that starts school after Labor Day, the Superintendent sends a monthly email, this month he mentions that Labor Day 2026 is late, so he’s giving people a heads up that school will probably start before. I’m amused by this because you know he’ll get complaints.
