Hi Bluesky. I'm a blue check Twitter refuge looking for a home. You may know me from such hits as "finding the census record showing Stephen Miller's great grandmother never spoke English" and "finding the grand jury indictment for Tomi Lahren's second great-grandfather for immigration fraud."

it's dizzying to me that stories like this -- a corrupt grift built on democracy-wrecking lies that culminated in a coup attempt -- barely breakthrough anymore. they're just daily background noise now.
COLLINS: The NYT is reporting your legal team is seeking $230 million from your own DOJ now in response to the investigations into you. Is that something you want?

TRUMP: It could be, yeah. I don't even talk to them about it. All I know is they would owe me a lot of money. They rigged the election.
Need a boost? I got you. Reunion facilitated by my partner in the Holocaust Reunion Project, Dr. Adina Newman. ❤️

Do you believe in miracles? I do.  They found each other!  Several weeks ago, when @jayceebrill reached out to Humans of Judaism for help locating her grandmother’s long-lost friend from the Holocaust, we posted the following plea for help: “This is my 90 year old grandmother, Henriette Glazer. She is a Holocaust survivor who has been trying for decades to find her best friend, whom she met in an orphanage in Caldas de Malavella, Spain. Her name is Bella and they tried to stay in touch but ultimately lost contact. My grandmother was around 6, so we assume Bella was 8-10. Here is a picture of the orphanage. My grandmother is in the black coat and Bella is wearing white with striped socks and a bow. Are you able to help?” Well, lucky for Jaycee, the post was viewed by genealogist Dr. Adina Newman @myfamilygenie, who also runs the Holocaust Reunion Project. And a reunion it was! She was able to track down Bella and connect the old friends, first via FaceTime, and in a few months, they will be meeting in person.  We’re so grateful to everyone who shared their story and helped bring these women back together. Here’s a glimpse of their first FaceTime call, after nearly a lifetime apart.

"The evil Jew is funding the entire US left" is a piece of rank, obvious antisemitism that we have just collectively decided to accept in public, because IOKYR.
Ernst: "I think it is extremely important that we look at who is funding these protests. We have to get to the bottom of this. It could be the usual suspect -- George Soros."

The WH steals people’s property constantly and never asks permission. Another example of Trump acting like a king.
Reminder that Santos, who represented my hometown district on LI, a district filled with Jews and families touched by 9/11, lied about being the grandson of Holocaust survivors and about his mother being a 9/11 survivor. Invented his resume.

And that's before you even GET TO HIS FINANCIAL CRIMES.
I'll be going live on FB at noon EST today to talk about Jewish heritage travel and genealogy. Join me? fb.me/e/5WM9jdHJE

The last ten years have seen countless slights to dignity, truth, and justice.

And the one I will NEVER EVER get beyond is the commutation of George Santos' sentence.
Thanks for my American Studies degree, UVA. 🇺🇸
So, uh, I just sent an inquiry about getting court records from a 1939 murder trial in Somerset County, PA.
Why?
Oh, no reason.
I have to get back to work but let me just tease that this one might be VERY interesting!

hahahaha. Someone already has his family in an Ancestry tree called "My Resistance Tree."
(Just found his parents' marriage announcement.)
I keep telling people I'm no longer in the #resistancegenealogy business but sometimes you just gotta.
I have hung up the spurs but happened to pop in here today. This one wasn't even difficult.

(Also worth noting: his great-grandfather did not become an American citizen until 1943, a full 30 years after arriving.)
Uh, Eric Schmitt's grandmother was the daughter of an Italian immigrant who arrived in the US in 1913.

This was published in 1911.

I'm so very very tired.

Update: the best part was that he created a memorial for my mother AND SHE STILL HASN'T BEEN BURIED YET.
But I got it taken down. The good guys win sometimes.
Need to vent that some fucking ghoul at Findagrave not only created a memorial for my mother, who died at the end of May, but took it upon himself to add a photograph of my father to the memorial *I* manage. Which I can't delete because some other ghoul created it. I will never, ever get this. Ever.
