Since I was listening to a @500songspodcast.bsky.social podcast about You’re Gonna Miss Me when I realised it was #12InchTuesday (it’s almost like they come round every week), I thought I’d better post it - even though it’s a 10”.

2 years after the original, remarkably similar instrumentation, but with a disco drum machine, so it loses any swing.
Plus a gender swap in the verse, which is particularly odd as the song makes more sense from a woman’s perspective.
MMc didn’t enjoy the ‘Vomit Comet’.

Actually, there is a real world effect here: it dehumanises others.
It supports the NPC mindset - if other people are just code, then it doesn’t matter if you mistreat or kill them.
By contrast, Blake’s epithet ‘Everything that lives is holy’ encourages us to treat others with respect and care.
