The subtitle is a bit misleading—Brendan Borrell’s Power Soak: Invention, Obsession, and the Pursuit of the Perfect Sound is less about Boston founder Tom Scholz’s musical chops than it is about the quagmire of lawsuits that Scholz’s perfectionism brought on.
