I point cameras at things and make suggestions. And I live in Hull. Posting about commercial filmmaking and video production and stuff.
I always suspected we were the real Scarfolk
It's 1965 & the 'Swinging Sixties' have caught up with the Urban District Council of Haltemprice in the East Riding of Yorkshire whose official guide promises endless bountiful sun over the suburbs to the west of Hull. #yorkshire #1960s #graphicdesign #trendy

I’m accidentally cosplaying as Judd Nelson from Breakfast Club today. All I’m missing is the fingerless gloves and one diamond earring.

Bloody awful photo choice on BBC News article reporting on the death of Sir Terry Farrell. His design of the Deep in Hull is all about the location and setting. It’s a fantastic building. 1st pic off google image search is much better example.

Fab archival films in this thread
The toolmaking for this process alone required the skills of a carpenter with the steady hand and eye of a jeweler. David Evans was the largest British block printer on a commercial level and their block archive was incredible. But sadly, the process came to an end in the 1980s.

They turned Spitalfields into a major silk hub and created jobs in nearby towns. In Kent and Dorset, people raised silkworms and mulberry plants. Along the River Test in Hampshire, the Whitchurch Silk Mill transformed cocoons into bundles of silk thread and eventually cloth.

I’m in Cheshire but my colleague has gone to Helsinki which sounds more like the set up for a joke rather than actually real believable business travel, but that is what we are doing this week.

I saw Tom Conti in Tibshelf services today. I don’t think he works there though.

He had a massive old Bentley.
