Early-gen #EV owners — Leaf & Tesla Model S (Gen 1 = 2011–2016) — skew the EV conversation. Those cars had small packs, weak cooling and higher degradation. Modern EVs don’t share those failure modes. Battery replacements have plunged 8.5% → 2% → 0.3%. Different tech, different era. Stop comparing.

Racism and rigid ideological beliefs create enormous obstacles to understanding the modern world. Incessant misinformation from the fossil fuel industry, both political parties and most pundits add to the problem. Our elites are responding by fleeing to their bunkers.

Low marginal cost energy businesses are admittedly contagious. Once they emerge in one community every neighbor longs for the same efficiencies.

However, not sure energy efficiency should be considered a “disease” but with this crowd anything good is considered bad.

In the field of business strategy we distinguish between “value creation,” which is the fundamental driver of economic health, and “value capture,” which is driven by structure & power.

This is the latest stage of academy’s shift from creating value to just capturing value.

Deeply destructive.

The Senate didn't confirm him. He's just a guy.

At some point, the states MUST use their authority to prosecute, because the federal government certainly will not.
