New sanctions and a commitment to act on the IGRC are welcome, and I urged in Parliament today for coordinated efforts to break the internet and information shutdown in Iran that is covering up the atrocities and preventing people from reaching their loved ones.

I have been deeply moved to hear from Iranian residents across Kensington & Bayswater in recent weeks about the appalling attacks many of their friends and family have been victims of in Iran.

Last week, the government published the Draft Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Bill - a major step towards our manifesto commitment to bring the feudal leasehold system to an end as we know it. Here are six things to look out for in the Bill.

It was a huge honour to help open the CHUMS Community Centre on the Henry Dickens Estate recently. ✂️

CHUMS and the formidable Jill Brown do an incredible job supporting elderly and vulnerable residents across our constituency.

Great to welcome students from Barlby Primary School into Parliament! Lots of great questions about politics and what MPs do.

🚇 Fantastic news for our campaign to make South Ken station step free! Since elected I've been leading this campaign & I’m delighted that the Mayor & TfL have agreed to back our campaign to modernise the station, taking full advantage of the multi-year funding settlement from this Labour Government.

Leaseholders across the capital will be celebrating this historic bill. Runaway service charges and ground rents will be a thing of the past.

The desperately needed end to this feudal system is now in sight for millions people across the country.

I am committed to speak out against all forms of antisemitism, which in recent months has risen exponentially including some shocking examples in West London, and must be tackled by all of us. (2/2)

This week I signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment, honouring the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered during the Holocaust. This year marks over 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, in 1945. (1/2)

Thames Water needs to be transparent with residents, following the major flood at Lorne Gardens.

People are in temporary accommodation as a result. We need to know how this happened and we need to know that it won’t happen again. I will be pressing Thames Water for answers in the coming weeks.

I encourage anyone in need of assistance to contact me.

I’m grateful to the emergency services for their swift response and for all their support for our community so far.

I am already in touch with many residents who have been affected and remain in constant contact with the police and Thames Water.

I know this will be an incredibly distressing time for residents, families, and local businesses who have experienced damage and disruption, with many residents being urgently evacuated from their homes.

My thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the shocking floods in the Holland Park area.

Locally my Safer Phones campaign has brought together children, parents and carers, teachers and health professionals to look at what more we can do as a community. (3/4)

I've been talking to Ministers about this for months, including just recently with Secretary of State for Science and Technology Liz Kendall.

Last year I co-sponsored a Private Members' Bill that sought to do many of these things and I hosted a packed meeting in Parliament with campaigners... (2/4)

I strongly welcome the Government's intention to take serious steps to protect children from the harms caused by social media - and to take further action on enforcing bans on phones in schools. (1/4)

Commiserations to Morocco on losing a tight - and controversial - AFCON final to Senegal tonight. The Moroccan community across North Kensington was out in force tonight.

Congratulations to Senegal.

My thoughts remain with the family who were the victims of such a heinous attack.

North Kensington was rocked by this horrific shooting in November 2024, so I want to thank all those that contributed to the successful prosecution and sentencing for 38 years of the person who has caused so much hurt, including our local Met Police team.
